I have a 1960 Corvette with a 4-speed manual transmission. If I’m in 2nd or 3rd hear and I let my foot off the throttle, the transmission pops out of gear. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

could be a bad input shaft bearing or mainshaft support bearing inside the end of the input shaft. More likely the latter.

Don't forget to look for worn shift forks.

Worn shift forks, shifter adjustment, worn synchro drums all could contribute to the problem. A complete teardown and inspection is in order.
