Hello i am brand new to this web site i think it is a very great site for i have searched it many times and found the answers i need. I now am having troubles finding some new info that i need no one seems to be able to tell me what is going on with my car. The car will turn over perfectly at times it will run fine for weeks but then something goes wrong sorta like a short some where, it will stop running and when i check the dist. components with and ohm meter it shows that the pickup coil and in cap coil and the module have went bad. I have replaced it about 4 times under warranty, the whole unit. A local shop suggested regrounding the motor, this did not solve the problem. I dont know if there is something special i need to do i went from points style rotor to an hei is there anything i need to do other supply the hei with 12v? I have been restoring the car and finally got it looking like i want it and now it wont stay running. Any help would greatly be aprieciated and welcomed with all ears.
Thank anyone who helps

hei

make sure the hei has a full 12v, you might have to run a separate wire but make sure under all conditions the veh has 12v to the dist, you have gone thru the ground thing, make sure the wires from the pickup coil to the mod, and the air gap is right
good luck
