hello, i hope that santas helpers are here. im a first time user.
i have a motor from a 1977 dodge monaco. its a 440 and has 32000 miles on it and was running fine when i pulled it from the car. this is a lean burn system motor. the bottom of the carb is made of plastic.
i would like to put this motor in a 1970 plymouth road runner, and use the 1970 wireing. i also have the automatic transmission from the dodge monaco.
the rear gears on the road runner are 3.23
if i through away the dodge carb and distributor and get a holly and electronic ignition will this thing go. how about the cam will it be ok to leave it there or do i need to change that.
this will not be a drag race car. im looking for good gas mileage and long life. this will be my drive around town car.
thank you for your help.
