i just discovered that the truck that i just purchased, w/4.3V6, doesn't like to start after sitting for a few days. it will turn over and over and not start. and then after about an hour it will fire right up. i'm thinking maybe there's a float problem or something and all the fuel is running back down the line? what else could cause this? it is very annoying. i replaced the plugs, wires, cap and rotor and tank is full.

Well if you have fuel leaking into the cylinders over time it could cause a hard start.

Also verify voltage and amps to make sure its not a charging system error.

Try holding the carb at WOT and starting it to let more air in to account for the extra fuel that may have seeped in.
