just wondering if anybody knew why i have to have the spark advance unplugged thats underneath the passenger side dash. it doesnt run properly when it's plugged in. Could the timing be out? because it was set at 0 before. with it plugged in i fire the truck up, and it jumps to 2000rpm then after about 20 seconds it drops to 7-900rpms. With it plugged in, it will jump to 1000rpm on fire up and drop to 500-600rpm which sounds about normal. Just seeing if i can get any imput on this. Thanks alot

Have you checked this thing for codes??? I personally think it would be a good place to start........to answer your other ????????? if your going to change it to hei dump the TBI as well n put a carb on it...I personally would opt for checking the codes and go from there....the jump in rpm for a second or 3 is normal the bogging isnt but could be caused by a lot of things, hence the reason to check the codes :pimp:
