2004R & Turbo 400 Mounting question.Blown 455 Olds

Getting ready to weld my engine and tranny mounts in 40 Ford coupe, Im running a Blown 455 Olds with Turbo 400 but have decided to go with a 2004R. My question is , are the tranny mounts the same, would like to get it all mock up and welded in tonight and get the 2004R at a later date.
Thanks Miles

Yes he may need to address the driveshaft later. But he asked about the mount which remains the same.
It depends on which TH400. The short tail TH400 (as found in the A-body cars) has the trans mount in the same place as the 200-4R. The long tail TH400s (as found in the full size cars) has the trans mount further back. Did you happen to pull that 455 and TH400 from a Delta 88 or 98? If so, the trans mount is likely in a different place than on the 200-4R.

Thanks guys for all your replies. and yes the engine and tranny was pulled from a 1980 Delta 88 which has the longer tail shaft so I guess I better just wait until I get the 2004r before I start welding.

A 455 and TH400 would not have been stock in a 1980 D88 - the last year of 455 production was 1976. You had better get a tape measure or check the ID tags and figure out what you really have.
