[406 ss monte]

my wife's SS Monte Carlo just started this. some times when it's put into reverse it will die, like it's not stalling enough, but i checked the converter lock up solenoid & it seemed to be working fine. just does it in reverse. any ideas?

Reverse has higher pressure, so may pu tmore strain on the motor at idle. Ignition system in good shape?
