I don't think camaros came with them. I got mine out of an 87 cadillac. You want one out of an 86 or 87 car. If this is for a Chevy, be careful. Most of them have a B-O-P bellhousing. You would need the multi-fit case. If you want a rebuilt one, try Bowtie overdrives. I bought some parts from them.

I disagree. With the exception of a rare early (1982) few that were BOP-only, all 200-4rs are dual-fit housings. You're looking for 82-90 cars.

Look to:
-pretty much any BOP (or Caddy) car with OD. Most chevy cars with chevy engines got the 700r4 as the OD option, but most other GM cars (even if they had chevy engines) often had the 200-4r as the OD option. Almost all OD RWD caddys (regardless of whether or not it had the 4100, the 307 olds, or the 350 chevy) has a 200-4r.

-Almost all A/G bodies had them; cutlass, grand prix, grand national, Monte Carlo, and Bonneville (during the years that they were A/G bodies). Some El Caminos and Malibus had them as well, especially later in production.

-Almost all B/D bodies that were not chevy had them. Fleetwood, Olds 88 and 98, Bonneville, and Buick Electra

-Late-80s turbo trans ams had them behind the turbo 403 olds.

the 200-4r is the same length as the t-350 that has a 6 inch tail housing on it.

the trans mount area on the 200-4r is further back than the t-350.

The TV cable hook up on the 200-4r is very important.

im sorry but there were no 403 engines in any F bodies after 81

What tranny do I have?
-First you need to determine if its a manual or automatic transmission. If its an auto, there were two available. The 200C and the 700R-4. Only early(82-83) thirdgens had the 200C, and it was a three-speed, so if you have a 3 speed auto, it was a 200C (not to be confused w/ a 2004-R) and if it was a 4-speed auto, it was a 700R-4/4L60 (not to be confused w/ a 4L60-E). There were also a 4-speed manual and a 5-speed manual. Only the early thirdgens('82-83) had the 4-speed manual

the 82 and 83 came with the 200c and no other auto

late 83 and up were either 700r4 or t5

2004r was G body and other models

i own an 82 trans am WS7 5.0 200C converted to th350 and have owned many different third gen f bodies

find the 200r4 in the montes and cutlasses and other cars

but none were in the camaros or firebirds, as they got the 700r4 instead

ppl need to know facts before posting false info to ppl

Sounds like you need to get YOUR facts right before posting false information then.
3rg Gen Pontiac F-Body TTA 1989-1990 models came with a 200-4R. A very good core to use for high performance use at that.
They also had a Buick motor.

While I WISH there was a Turbo 403 Olds motor, you are mistaken. The only turbo motor ever built by Olds was the Jetfire aluminum 215 V8 sold in 1962 and 63. The 403 was normally aspirated and was only built between 1977 and 1979. There was a 2nd gen Trans Am turbo based on the 301 Pontiac motor and used as the Indy Pace Car in 1980. There was also the 3rd gen Trans Am turbo that used the Turbo Buick V6 (as noted in the previous post) and that was the Indy Pace Car in 1989.
