Can someone tell me the value of a set of powerpack heads totally modified are worth now. 2.02 valves. Ported.Polished. CCd. HD Springs. Teflon valve guides.
honestly unless you find someone doing a rare original restoration to a 283 /302/ 327 or some one limited to size in a specific racing class .
They are boat anchors. The heads available today even the cheap Chinese knock offs with outperform those old ones easy.
What's the last 3 digits of the casting number??....there are a couple different "power pack" heads through a 10 year span of 1957-67....one has a much better chamber shape than the other.
but otherwise, it is like Bigmac73 just posted....the horsepower race has mostly left the old 1960's stuff far behind in the dust.
As already mentioned, the value is mostly for restoration purposes or specific class requirements. For restoration or some type of racing class restriction a "totally modified" head might be a disadvantage.
