There is nothing to think about here. Epoxy was made for just what you are doing. Urethane primer* is for FILLING or surfacing body work prior to painting.

*Urethane primer is commonly called "2K". However EVERY product that uses a hardener or catalyist is a "2K". Being it has "two components". So epoxy is a "2K" as well.
