351 Windsors have different deck heights. They are all taller than a 302.
Mike is correct; it is easy to bolt in a 351 where a 302/5.0 came stock. The 351 uses a wider intake and taller distributor. The issues come in with the height and width; hood clearance is often a problem. The EFI intakes are very tall; often a carb conversion allows you to squeeze the 351 under the hood. Motor mounts can be swapped or modified to address the height issue. Width can be an issue too.
The 351 is way better all around. It has bigger crank journals, longer rods, and of course the extra displacement is better too. I have heard of them being stroked to 427 cubes.
I agree with Mikey, The 351 would be the way i would go . And it shoud bolt wherever the 302 will only thing you might have issues with the hood hitting the carb/Breather but a scoop would cure that . Cole
