I just finished swapping out my 267 for the 305 i've had sitting in my other project truck for a few months. The motor is stock except an edelbrock performer eps intake and an edelbrock 600 cfm carb (#1405). It ran good for the first few days of the install, now the motor sounds almost like I dropped a bolt in it but I know I didn't. And also is screeching slightly. I took the valve covers off to check if a rocker is extremely loose or anything and there was nothing out of the ordinary. There is a slight whiteish film on the top of the valve covers. I ran the motor while the valve covers were off and I noticed that only one valve on the passenger side squirted out oil. Could it be possible that some water got in the oil and is clogging up the system? Im only 18 years old and have nobody for any guidance. Thanks alot in advance for your help.

....hows your oil pressure? could have spun an insert......

For even that matter are you sure you have enough oil in the motor?

Not sure about oil pressure, sender unit is not hooked up, will check tomorow. What is a insert? crank bearing? and yes there is enough oil in it.
