Just wondering if anyone could run my 329 buildup through Desktop Dyno and see what it would put out.

SBC 305: 3.736" Bore, 3.75" Stroke
GM Vortec Heads: 170cc, 64cc Chambers, 1.940'' Int/1.500'' Exh Valves
9.6:1 Compression
Holly 600cfm Carb
Dual Plane, Square Bore, Weiand Action+Plus Intake
Open Exhaust, 1 1/2" Headers, 3" Collector
COMP Cams Magnum Hydraulic Camshaft
224 Lift at .050, .470” Lift Exhaust and Intake, 110 Seperation

Thanks in advance.

1) That's 327.46 cubes.

2) That's a good cam choice, you could use 1.6 rockers!

3) I don't have a DTD, sorry.

Vac secondary carb, I hope. Or use Edelbrock. Since you are into more rpm, an Edel 750 might work well.

You need a 2 1/2 inch collector 24 inches long, with a divider for the first half. It will add 20 through your torque curve.

DTD= I'm betting 385/385 on the power. Maybe 400/400 with a bigger carb.

I was close on the torque.

Those are decent heads and a 224* cam...... The torque peak is flat and peaks 3500-4000, I don't see why it dies so badly at 5000. It's not even making 1 hp per cubic inch.

That cam in a 350 should peak at 4000 and 5400.

No one has any suggestions? I don't expect to make a whopping amout of power, just wondering what might cause it to drop off so quickly.

Hm I too am stumped as to why it drops off so suddenly. Suggestions, anyone?

Thanks btw, kuhn-77.

Everything looks too good to see the power curve drop so intently.

Any other DTD out there?

Just incase anyone was wondering, I ran this setup through Engine Analyzer Pro after bumping the carb to a 750cfm and using 1.6 rockers. Looks pretty good to me. :D

but the hp was only 350 @ 5800-6100

Thanks engineczar, that's pretty much what mine showed too. Either way I like those numbers. Not to mention the very little money it'll cost.
