I have the option to buy a m11 clip that is in a 33 plymouth. It has all new brakes and A arms.what I need to know is the frame rail with of the plymouth at the cross member. it is going in a 38 ford and I can't measure it myself as the owner is out of town. Any info would help thanks..:

I owned a 33 Plymouth in the mid 70s, but have no recollection of the frame width. Check with a couple of kit builders and ask them if the same kit works for 38 Ford and 33 Plymouth.

I am willing to bet that the frame rail width at the crossmember is going to be more narrow on the Plymouth compared to the Ford. My 38 Plymouth is more narrow than the Ford. With that transfer it will essentially be putting in a subframe unless you cut the crossmember out of the 33 Ply. frame rails. If you look at Street rod engineering web site they have directions on putting in a crossmember in a 38 Plymouth and it will have some dimensions on there for you to see. Hope that helps.
