I have a 34 Ford Grill. My grill has 29 bars - is that the right amount, and why doesn't it have a crank handle hole?

The grill is probably an aftermarket grill. The grill on my 34 has 31 teeth, but it's a fiberglass reproduction with stainless teeth.

34 Ford Passenger Car grilles have 31 vertical bars.
Any grille without a crankhandle hole in it is an old aftermarket replacement grille. These were made by various manufacturers over the years and vary gretaly in quality and fit.
