My 34 Ford 5 window coupe needs new window glass channels. I order complete kits. My question I noticed there is no felt strip between the glass and the door. The sheet metal where this strip goes on other vehicles has a sharp bend back from the edge leaving no place to put the felt strip against. There is a slot in the middle that looks like a rubber bumper might go there. Is this the only thing that keeps the out side of the door glass from hitting the door. Any suggestions?
