pulling a 5.7 out of a z-28 to cinvert over to carburated for dirt tracker..... what will i need to do to get the carb set up on this?

new manifold? just need the basic info

I would suggest that you check with your association and get the local rulebook on this as there is some differences in what is allowed from track to track..

Some require two barrel carbs some allow 4 barrel carbs on factory manifold..some allow aftermarket manifolds..

Any way check with those guys as they will tell you what you can use and what you cannot use..:welcome:

If my memory is correct, the 5.7 z 28 was an 88 or newer which means the heads (if stock) have the center manifold bolt holes going straight down vice tangent to the intake mating surface like the end bolt holes. If so, you will have to get a later style intake , or ream out the holes to fit. Better choice would be to use 86 and older heads and intake of choice.
