I have a good hotrod buddy (he does not have a computer).
He has a 39 chevy w/a 80 camero fuel enjected 350 sbc. Trans. will not shift out of 1st gear. (for @ rev) OK He ckecked for vacuum back to modulator, changed valve. Removed @ ckeck ed gov. gear. :(. any in put on what else would cause no up
shift, short of pulling trans. :sweat: :confused: :pain:
Any advice will be apreaciated Hotrodders. :thumbup: :thumbup:

lets see here:

What is the history on this trans? Mileage, recent repair or rebuild work?

He checked the plastic governor gear = good

He checked the vacuum at the modulator & has replaced the modulator. Vacuum feed is direct manifold vacuum?? 14 to 16 inches of vacuum at the modulator as the engine idles?

Has he checked the kick down cable from the trans for free movement? Does the trans have a cable? Does the cable easily pull and return?
