My th 350 would not go into third gear or shift at all so I thought it was shot. I ended up buying another transmission when unhooking the origional tranny I took the lower tranny cooler line off and it poured out fluid while the upper tranny line was bone dry not a drip of tranny fluid . Would this indicate a bad tourqe converter or a bad pump? Or just blockage in the upper line?

The upper one is the "return" line and it being dry wouldn't be unusual.
