I have a 350 V8 and I want to use the motor mounts that attach to the front of the block. There are four holes up front. The left side upper hole seems to be tapped all the way inside the block. It looks to me like its possible to bind the fuel pump push rod with a bolt thats too long. How far in can I go with my bolt? What do I seal it with?

Yep, is my first hot rod!

I am not sure about the length, but you are correct about binding the fuel pump rod. That's the way we used to change the pump to avoid it dropping out.

Just use something like a section of coat hanger and bolt on your mount with the lower bolt, install the fuel pump pushrod, insert the coat hanger, mark it, go with a bolt about 1/4 shorter and you have it. All I ever used to seal it was Blue Glue RVT.
