Hi,
I picked up a 36 Ford Sedan Delivery and am verifying numbers. I found the number on the frame on drivers side by the engine and it matches the title. There are two tags on the outter passenger side firewall that have been painted over. From what I've discovered is that these two tags have no identification information at all. They are a patent number tag adn a body style tag. Correct? Is there any VIN associated numbers on the body??

Thanks,

Cam

A 36 Sedan Delivery! What a goodie, one of the most desireable body styles!
VIN is number stamped on engine since it matches your title. It should look like this: (Star, five-pointed outline)18-number(Star, five-pominted outline). This number should be found on the top side of the frame rail on the driver's side ahead of the firewall also. AND, if the transmission is original to that particular car, the number will be stamped in the center top of the bellhousing above the access plate.
