I have a couple of steel front fenders for my 37, one that has a good front and one with a good rear portion, that I am trying to make into one good one. What would be the best way to do this, 1. cut both fenders in half from side to side and then weld back together or 2. cut out just the bad front section, this would be about 2/3 of the front half of the fender, and then weld back in front to back and side to side? Which way would be stronger, less hassle, or just plain better? Or do I keep looking for good fenders? Thanks!
