I want to recover my running boards with black ribbed rubber. I found replacement rubber on the Steele website, but they are very pricey. Does any one have a suggestion where I can get linear ribbed rubber stock that I could cut to fit? I am not concerned about the smooth feature of the originals around the fender lines. I suppose I will direct glue them to the running boards. was thinking of using an exterior grade contact cement for that job. The exposed outside edge will be trimmed with a s.s. edge band.

HEY JP: Janitorial Supply companies sell heavy duty rubber matting in rolls 36 & 48 inch wide. Also some of the home improvement stores have it available. GOODLUCK DAVE
