I have a 383 stroker and wondering what the power would be. from top to bottom. Holley 750, edelbrock performer eps intake, the corvette 882 heads with the large valves and port and polished and machined to I think 72cc chambers, the thinnest head gasket I think its .015, Bored 30 over with forged flat top pistons, summit K1103 cam, machined deck, forged rods and a 400 crank with the press on pully not bolt on. its a 1968-1970 4 bolt main. Never seen a 400 crank that used a press on only balancer (I assume you mean balancer) I believe all Chevy cranks starting around 1959-60 had a retaining bolt. Are you sure you have what you think you have?

only pressed on balancer I remember is the old 283s and older.
Like fbird says,give those heads to someone you dont like

Good old "corvette" 882 heads.... your dcr is likely way high given the smallish cam and 10.5+ scr, the heads are junk, i think Vinnie is going to be on the money at 370 and even that might be optimistic. Swap some real heads on it, stay 72cc chambers, will make 400+ even with the smallish cam.

How much was the block deck machined?? If it was more than .010" you have a potential problem with using the .015" thick head gasket...the pistons will hit the heads at rpm because you are too close on piston to head clearance.

With forged pistons, .035" total piston the head is a minimum safe spec, below that you risk a collision.

It has flat tops with valve reliefs. I how the pistons don't hit because I had this car up to 9000rpm. The deck height I have no idea how much was taken off. I was looking at the summit vortec heads at 64-72cc but I don't want to have to get a new intake (vortec style) because I just bought a new intake. Can someone recommend me some heads or wants to sell me some or know where I can get some for cheap? Thanks

Yeah I go to a high performance school (UNOH) had my teacher port and polish and machine the 882 heads. Flow checked them and they flow the same as dart iron eagle heads. Don't get me wrong they do suck and are heavy that's why I wanted to get aluminum heads.

. I plugged everything into the Canootin' Valves Calculator and it said it was impossible for that engine to spin over 8,900 RPMs... tach must be a little off... or maybe I misplaced a decimal point... what do you guys get? Don't forget to use the Plasmic Reaction Factor to 8 decimal places...

. Also having trouble finding the LINK for the crankcase scattershields again... I just used it yesterday...
