Hi Guys/Gals - a newbe here. I have a 39 Ford all stock except for a full race flathead and duals. I'd like to get the nose a tad lower and think a forged steel 2" dropped axle would be the way to go. The only thing I've found is a Super Bell aluminum unit. Any suggestions on who may manufacture a steel unit?? Also - if a dropped unit is added - do I need to change any other steering components for clearance ? :welcome:

Welcome to the site BBCoupe. :welcome: Your car reminds me of my 40 tudor. It had a flathead until I blew it up. Dropped in a 324 Olds after that. That was about 40 years ago.

Check out the Roadsters.com site. They will drop your original axle for you.
