39 wheel dimension

I am looking for some help. I’m getting ready to have a 2000 Corvette cradle narrowed to fit underneath my 1939 Chevy coupe. To figure out how much it needs to be narrowed. I need an outside dimension tire to tire that someone might have. Not sure how much room I need so tires don’t rub on the fenders. Thank you for any help.

I have found 58" hub to hub is a good point to start. Making tires fit is a function of the rear width, wheel offset and of course tire size. I used a 76 Granada 8" that was 56" hub to hub, added 1" adapters to convert Ford to GM and the stock 15" rally wheels. The 36 - 39 chassis are essentially the same dimension.
