I have a 91 camaro that came from the factory with a 5 speed. The previous owner swapped out the 5 speed for an auto. Im trying to switch it back to a 5 speed with a tranny from an 87 trans am. When we pulled the auto off, we discovered that the engine was also replaced; with an 83 year model. I made the mistake of buying everything I need (tranny, clutch kit, flywheel, master/slave cylinders, etc) before looking at the engine. The flywheel has a diferent bolt pattern than what is on the engine-which throws everything else off. Is there an adapter plate or conversion kit to bolt up an 87 tranny to an 83 engine on a firebird/camaro? Thanks for any help!

All you need is the correct 1985 and earlier flywheel, everything else will bolt up. There is no adapter to use the flywheel you have. CarParts.com has them new pretty cheaply.
