It is probably been asked before but what would cause a cold engine misfire that mostly goes away as temp rises on t.b.i 4.3 in an 89 Chev pickup? I replaced cap and rotor and no improvement. Exhaust looks real clean so maybe it's a lean out issue? Gas milege is not getting worse also. Thanx ,Clint

Also, make sure the egr valve is closed at idle. I have had a problem similiar on my '88 blazer with the 4.3... sometimes it does it and sometimes it doesn't. The little vacum motor is getting weak on mine so it lets the egr re-circulate when it shouldn't at an idle and especially on start up. Good luck.
