hi im building a 406ci for my 2wd s10 blazer, tring to configure a top end assemby cam/carb/intake combo tring to achieve 3000-7000rpm , considering 292/501 with air gap intake 800 carb heads not for sure yet

Will require static compression ratio between 10.5 and 12.0, 3500+ converter and 4.11-4.56 gears.

Have you figured out what fuel you will run on? It's doubtful you can run this beast on pump gas.

Feeding 406 cubic inches at 7K is gonna take some serious heads.

If this is a street/strip truck, I would pull back to 10.0 on the static compression ratio, go somewhere around 224/230 @ 0.050 on a hydraulic roller cam with a range of 2400-6400, 3000 on the converter and 3.70-4.11 on the gears. I might be lookin' at Brodix IK200 or KC-IK210 heads.
