Dorman or someone like that sell the under the bulb disk and 2 wire combo to repair or in your case to replace the one wire combo. Simple and cheap as that.
Yeah, but aren't the little alignment 'nubs' different between the 1156 (single filament) and 1157 (double filament) bulbs? On the 1156 they are even but on the 1157 they are staggered. Oops you are right. I don't know a source for those. I should say I don't remember a source for those because I have converted some old Nash cowl lights to turn signals.
