Anyone ever dealt with this? Ive set timing for cam break in on older carb vehicles but not a tbi set up. Where do I set the timing for cam break in? Do I leave that little wire for the timing unplugged for the 15 or 20 minutes I’m doing the break in? Does that wire being disconnected mean that the computer has no input on the timing at all? Or does computer still have some control? The manual states to disconnect wire, set it at 4 degrees, reconnect wire. and that’s it. Nothing about flat tappet can shaft break ins in the manual lol

Disconnected ends the computer adjusting the timing. At this point you can set it where you want and it will stay there till you reconnect it.

The factory cams are so mild that breakin as thought of with an aftermarket cam is not required.
