I put some UV dye into my crankcase and drove around for a day to allow it to circulate. Then I allowed the car to sit another day. I jacked the car up high and went under with the UV light. It appears that the lower part of the oil pan was covered with oil but the pan gaskets themselves were fine. The drain plug was ok as well. The oil also was closer to the rear of the engine and covered part of the lower bell housing cover. I'm thinking rear oil seal here - right or wrong ? But heres the thing - wouldn't the tranny be wet as well since the oil would fly to the rear as the car is moving ?

The pan gasket itself is dry along with everything above it except in the rear. Timing chain cover and front oil seal are dry as well. I'm thinking it myst be that rear seal...
