PETE I GREW UP IN THE GLASS (WINDSHIELD BUSINESS. A 1950 CHEVY HAS FLAT LAMINATED SAFETY GLASS THAT ANY GLASS SHOP CAN CUT FOR YOU, PROVIDING YOU SUPPLY THEM A TEMPLATE WHICH YOU CAN DO FROM YOUR OLD WINDSHIELD. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO TO UPGRADE THAT CAR TO A NO DIVIDER BAR IS REMOVE THE DIVIDER BAR AND SEE THE GAP THAT IS LEFT BETWEEN THE TWO SPLIT WINDSHIELDS IF ITS 11/2" add 3/4" of an inch to each half of the windshield don't for get to allow for a bead of clear or blak silicone sealant . good luck

I'm pretty sure that a 51 chevy 2dr ht is the same basic windshield only it's one piece with no split. go here www.carnut.com and click on pics index they have pictures listed by year and make you'll be able to see the different styles,49 to 52 have the same roof line. plus it's a very interesting site
