I put a 4.3 vortec/4l60e in my 36 gmc pickup and need to find a aftermarket neutral safety switch that bolts to the side of the trans. Unfortunately after everything is installed in the chassis the brake booster is to close to the N/S and the connecter wont plug in properly I really don't want to have to remount the engine/trans assembly and make new mounts. Any ideas? for a solution? Thanks for any thoughts on this self created problem.

The booster is beside the tranny?
Or, are you saying you need to use the neutral switch that goes on the tranny because the booster is inside and in the way?

I use the OEM switch on my tranny for reverse lights and P/N safety and love it.
Power thru this switch should be minimal only to trigger relays.

use a relay with NO contact on the brake pedal
if that's not enough, add a hidden horn button under the left side of the dash
if foot on brake and finger on button isn't enough to remind you to use park
nothing will 😂
