Working on a 1998 Chevy k1500 5.7 350. 4L60E trans. There appears to be some cracks in the rear of the trans case. Also, some pretty large spots slightly smaller than a bb out of the valve side of the case. Does any of this mean I need a new case? Can or should I repair any of these areas?

So no need to worry about any sealing issues with the valve body? Should I file those spots and round them off a little. They are pretty rough spots. That second picture with the cracks look almost like the case coating of some sort if peeling. Thanks for the input!!
