1974 366 mated to a 5 speed.

Does anyone know what ratios the 5 speed has. I am not messong with the 366 at all.

Also I believe this will bolt up to a sbc. And idea there.

I can change the rear if it is really low but if the ratios are very similar to a sm465 I wont bother with the 5 speed.

N-P, Clark and Spicer 5 speeds are monsters. Really, truly industrial or off-highway creatures. More than likely, these use "SAE" bellhousings with a cross-shaft. I have no idea if the bellhousing/clutch will be SBC compatible. I'd never put one behind a light-duty passenger car engine.
The above reference cites a 60-series GM dumptruck, thats the lightest-duty chassis some of these guys were typically available in.
Grab an 8.1L Vortec or something

I was hoping for a better split between 2 to 3. But the percentages are still close to the 465's.

I will just stick with the 465's and shift them like a 2 speed a majority of the time.

Thanks.
