need help fast, i need to put by truck on the road fast well by 1/1/05, my 53 Chevy body is good but some one put it on a 96 s 10 frame that is bent the motor would not spin, computer and wires are gone, no drop leaf ore springs.

i need to know seen that i am new to this what can i use in place of the s 10 frame, i need a quick low budget fix what can i swap the s10 for and make it look and ride good any tips would be helpful, one more i have a 383 and need it to run a its' best it does not run at this time tips on this too but i am in no rush an i can not use this 383 for my Chevy but i am open to getting a norther for the Chevy if it comes with a frame that i can slip the 53 panel body on, once more i need to have this done my 1/1/05 and if you can help me i will need step by step details i am new to this and do you all think that it can be done, if i do not make my date it is not a big lost once i have the truck done soon after.

Thank you all for your help.

Use some punctuation there will ya buddy.... longest sentence I've ever seen. A few capital letters properly placed would make it a lot easier to read as well.... (No I'm not an English teacher, just an old fart that believes if someone wants to communicate using the English language that they should try to do it properly.)

To answer your question: It can be done but not by January. Considering your lack of experience, your best bet would be to find an S-10 that's all rusted out but still running well and just swap the body over. That might get you on the road by January providing you have help and don't run into any unforeseen problems along the way. Worry about swapping the engine and drive train later.

You should be able to find a rusted out S-10 cheap, I just got another one the other day for almost nothing. It is a 2.8 V6 5-speed and talk about rust!

No in fact i have two trucks that is just sitting around. I would like to save time and money and just buy one that is done are almost done.
I looked in the for sale area, I did not see anything that i like. If any one in the NY and NJ area has one that I can drive back to NY drop me a line. If you are in my area and want to work on the trucks that I already have drop me a line also.

in fact i am looking to buy a panel trcuk.
do any of you have one to sell.
huligar,

keep an eye on http://www.stovebolt.com - forums - swap meet - trucks for sale. They cover all pre-1973 chevy.gmc trucks. They even have a panels and burbs section.

http://www.oldchevytruck.com/ <- classifieds for old chevy trucks, another place to check from time to time.

Good luck,
