Does any one know who makes a Fiberglass Body for a 1955 Chevy Belair? One that can be used for a street rod not a drag car.

Through all my exsperience with building 'glass cars the only car that they have made a 'glass body for is a '50 Merc. I don't think anyone makes a '55 Chevy, they have 'glass tilt front ends, but that it.

Gene Winfield makes a 50 merc that goes onto a 95 Park Ave platform. See the first few pages of my Project Journal. Theres a pic there somewhere.

Scroll down to the bottom to look at the heavy duty kit. It has a floor, the race weight one does not. The hd one is what you would use for a street rod project.

Thanks, I did see that. But there are no HD doors available. And the only HD body is a posted coupe. I would like to find a hardtop. I'll give them a call to see if they have HD doors. Again, thanks for you comment.
