Hello everyone,

I am new to this site (first post) so i hope to find the knowledge/guidance i need for my project.

I have a BBC 454 Gen IV Bowtie tall block (10.200) that I want to install in my 27ft boat. The cylinders arecurrently bored to 4.500in. My intention is to install a 4.500 stroke crank as well as 6.535 rods. Pistons are +3.00 for a compression of 9.5 with 118cc open chamber heads.

My question is, will I be able to pull off this combo withoput having to carve out some of the block? I really wish to avoid heavy machine work on the block, as I live in Panama and there are not many good machine shops.

On another note, I was wondering if someone could help me indentify the specs of this Crank Shaft. It is a Crower crank with the markings shown in the pic and it is aldo maked with the writting on the piece of paper.

your comments are greatly appreciated.
Thanks !!!
