Hi everyone... I'm just getting underway with my 61 impala restomod project. I'm not really a chevy guy so I'll be looking for advice along the way. Right now I have the body off the frame and mounted on a rotisserie. I have an appointment with a mobile media blaster this coming week. So.. Here come the questions... I'm going with a roadster shop frame which I already ordered. The x frame is in great shape but I want a really solid driver. I'm planning on an LS3 and 4L65 trans. I don't want to mess up the trans tunnel which I think is needed if I go with a 6sp auto? I'm looking for suggestions on tire size, is the engine /trans choice good, any tips on stuff I should know about this particular model etc.
