iv got 63 falcon with the 170 2 speed it doesent seem like its shifting soon enough. is there some way to adjust shifting sooner are later.

Is it vacuum or kick down rod.. a vacuum leak or linkage rusty-binding or out of adjustment can cause shifting problems

oh.. yea, I forgot to tell you about that part... to get the 2spd shift into 2nd. lift up on the gas a bit and it'll shift. then you can give it gas again

check the vacuum modulator hoses , check for oil dripping out of the vacuum hose nipple on the modulator. Should be no oil dripp from the vacuum nipple on the modulator
