Anybody out there tried putting a solid front axle out of a early 60's Ford PU in a Model A Pick up. I measured them both and the 64 is wider but I not running any front fenders so I think it will be OK. I just asked another member about putting a newer type rear end so it doesn't look like a Tadpole going down the road. So if anyone has how much of a pain was it to attach it to the buggy spring?
Thanks Ed

straight axle front end

Rather than go to the hassle of of going with the 64 front end, I would recommend contacting Speedway Motors in Lincoln Nebraska about a Tubular front axle, a lot lighter and just as strong, and will already have your spring perches etc mounted on it.

They also offer rear ends, 9 inch Fords, already made up to the width you need.
One of their major lines of business is A, B, and T Model Ford Hot Rods parts.

You can see their entire catalogue at:
speedwaymotors.com

Their prices arent too bad either.
