I am in process of getting my 68 Caddy Convertible back together.
As I was reinstalling the dash, I needed to lower the steering column to attach some dash mounting bolts. I needed to pull the column down hard to the right and then to the left. After bolting everything back into place, I find the car will not start. I never had any problems starting this car before. I did notice a small spring and some brass pieces on the floor. I guess I broke the switch that was mounted to the column (Neutral Safety Switch) I think. I went to the junk yard and replaced the broken switch...still no go. The car doesn't even crank...NOTHING. I put a brand new battery in as well.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thank You
