wat if the adapter was changed

there is no adapter to put a 2 wheel 700r4 - 4L60 trans in place where a 4x4 700r4 - 4L60 trans was..

the 4x4 out put shaft is shorter.

if you put a longer trans setup in there , everything is moved back. T-case is moved , t-case shifter is moved , cross members moved , drive shaft lengths change

i have a 90 k5 blazer 700r4 the tranny just went out, im looking at a 91 camaro that has a 700r4, would that tranny fit?
thanks
It will fit if you remove the tailstock and change the output shaft.
You will need some new gaskets and seals.
The inspection plate cover may not fit or may need holes drilled to mount it, not sure.

Just looked at the original post again.......I was assuming that this Blazer was a 4x4....If it is, the tailshaft is too short and is a different style to work. To change the tailshaft and housing, I believe the whole tranny must come apart.....If its a 2 wheel drive Blazer, it may fit, I am not sure of the tailshaft length on those.

Is it a 4x4?
