i hate this truck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!i should be building trailers but im still trying to get this 700r4 tranny to shift into 3rd. it shifts 1-2 like a champ. ive adjusted the tv cable still no better. it was shifting irraticlly so i took down the valve body cleand the valves that were sticking probly put the balls in the wrong place i dunno? I have 2 in the body then the plate and 4 on top of the plate in where i thought they went could sum1 help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the check ball count is correct for the year tranny you posted in your other thread.


try to keep all your posts about the same problem in one thread so we can easily see all your posts on this problem..

there are many reasons the trany has no 2-3 shift.... from the valve body, the governor, incorrect clutch pack set up of the 3/4 clutch , sealing rings cut, lip seals cut during the rebuild.
