[1971 Nova]

Hello Everyone, Happy Hoildays.

I'm swapping from a standard 71 Nova dash w/gas gauge and clock delete to a 4 speed tach and clock unit. What is needed in a stock type dash harness to get these (tach and clock) to work properly?

Proabably the SS harness that the dash had.........You may be able to add some wires for these. You can get a wiring diagram.

Doesn't that dash have a printed circuit board on it? If it does, just a change out of the circuit board (film) should do it.

Yes, but you also need the wires that go to the tach etc........thus the proper harness.

Doc here, imp:

First be sure the stock tach is not a 2 part tach, Head unit and calibration card..If it is, you will have to remove the remote box. Then you may have to hardwire the new tach into the system harness..

Some of those old Factory Tachs were 2 parts..(Corvette, Chevelle, ect..)
