Hello, you can make these seats work but it's not a bolt-in. In fact the buckets from a 72' Nova will not just bolt-in. The floor pan for a "bucket seat" car is different. The Nova seat installation might be easier but you would still have to make them work with your floor pan. Just use your "good ole" hotrod ingenuity and make the ones you have work( spacers, holes, longer bolts). Maybe this will help. Paul

i cant believe that floors would be different for different kinds of seats. but regardless, he is right about what you have to do, shim it, space it, drill new holes, whatever, we're talkin four bolts each through the floor here, not exactly rocket science. you will just have to put nuts on the bolts is about the only dif.

yea, sombody ought to slap the factory enginers for makeing two differant floors for differant seats ! i plan on welding in some square tubing to level out the mounting legs. does the seat need to be squared up with the center of the steering wheel ? I looked at a 70 camaro and the driver's seat was inward a few inches from the center of the steering wheel .

I helped my neighbor install bucket seats in his 70 nova,it had a bench seat, only difference in the floor board were the inner bolts for the bucket seats were not there,we used chevelle bucket seats, they were the same seats as the Nova [69-72].he purchase [you could cut these brackets out of another junk nova with bucket seats, you only need the inner brackets, the out side bolts are correct for buckets or bench seats]a set of brackets with the correct bolt locations already on the brackets, all we had to do is to weld them in place,we ran a string from the front outer bolt location on both side,we then measured the distance between the the bolt holes on the bucket seat tracks, this gave us the starting point for the front bolts,we tacked welded the bracket at the front, then aligned the rear bolts with the tracks, then welded everything in place, very easy installation.Good luck
