I am in process of ordering new axles for my 8" ford rear end. I know the axle bearing that I have is an RW207CCRA. The company I am going to order from says that it comes with a RW902R 28 34. Can anyone tell me any dimensional differences between these two? Specifically the width or thickness. The RW207 is .844" wide. What is the width of RW902R 28 34?

The RW-902R-2834 is a totally different size compared to the RW207-CCRA. My axle is an 8" ford axle from a '74-'77 ford Maverick. The measurement that is important to make sure that my Wilwood backing plate mounts correctly is the .844 outer race width. I could be fine if the axle company could use the RW-902R-2834 as long as the outer race width is .844" .

the RW902 is to accommodate larger diameter after market axle shafts, I would think the width would be same as they are for use with stock small bearing housings.
I found the difference between the RW902 and RW207. The width of the bearing is .043" wider on the RW902. The Wilwood backing plate will not seat properly when it is all clamped together with the bearing retainer plate. Essentially the RW902 would put .003" press on the bearing once the backing plate and bearing retainer plate are mounted up. This may in fact work for me but I will need to follow up with Wilwood to be sure.

You can get metal gaskets for the Ford housing ends to use as shims, maybe.
I don't think I have seen the metal gaskets for the housing ends before. I think what I would need is a shim between .023" and .025" thick to fit between the backing plate and bearing retainer plate. See image below.
