Hi guys,
Stock front brakes on a 1981 Monte Carlo, the caliper is getting progressively noisier in that it rattles on the mounting bolts/pins.
I don’t recall there every being a rubber bushing of sorts in this car, but there are some part numbers floating around out there for what looks like little O-rings. Are these an appropriate fix, that are supposed to be there? Or is anyone aware of oversized bushing or something that stop this rattle? It’s getting rather embarrassing.

thank you.

Be sure to lube those O rings , the bore they fit in and the bushings also,.That will keep the rust down and they will move freer longer. Rust gets behind the o rings and seizes the bushings, then the calipers dont float and the pads wear quickly and un even because the brakes drag.
Lubricate the spot where the pad touches the pad mount also, to avoid a squeek, each time you hit the brakes.
