Hard starting 2.9 fuel injected engine. After warm up it runs fine. Fuel consumption seems okay ( 20 mpg )
Also can I change the computer from another without getting into trouble? Have a few minor problems that I was told will clear up with new computer. ( fuel gauge - a/c - etc. ) "OneMoreTime" thought my problem might be with the choke but Ford dealer says that all is okay with machine but it ain't.

The cold start problem sounds like a temp sensor that has gone out of spec/bad. The other stuff that was claimed to be corrected by a new computer sounds a little far fetched to me. 1986 systems weren't overly intrusive, but I'll check some of my Ford injection books tomorrow. I wouldn't pop for a computer right away. Just an off thought, with some of the related problems have you checked all your grounds? Was the negative cable replaced with a generic one that doesn't have the extra grounding pigtail? Many times problems that seem ominous are quite simple.

Thanks for the info, I will try out your advise and see if I will have any success. Have another Bronco ll which I bought for parts and it starts quickly and runs smooth. That is where I intended to get the computer to swap. Not going to do any changing out until I'm sure since this machine is in use daily and is very handy.
Thanks again.
